Top Five Summer... HAIR PRODUCTS! :)

There is nothing I love more than looking at the hair care range when walking around ASDA/Tesco! They always manage to suck me in with their pretty packaging and excellent offers!  So my summer hair is all about texture! I tend to triple barrell and wave my hair with the straighteners alot in a desperate attempt to get away from my natural limp, lifeless hair! GIVE ME VOLUME - thats all I'm asking! So alot of my products fall under the category of 'volume'.
The first of my summer favourites...

I picked this product on a whim when I visited the beauty hall on my trip to London for my 21st not knowing whether it was any good, just liking the concept of it! Low and behold this is now my holy grail when wanting textured, big volume hair! The sticky texture can be off-putting however once massaged into the hair becomes virtually unnoticeable apart from the fact it lifts the hair to new heights! Excellent for nights out and if your first day hair will not hold waves (like mine!) My flat mate also loves this product and when i have used it on her hair before!

A product which has been doing the rounds and getting produced by different companies! The got2b texture powder is also a brilliant product! This is a life saver if your in a rush and your hair is looking lifeless! Sprinkle some of this powder onto your roots/ends/anywhere that needs volume, give it a ruffle and hey presto! Job is done! WARNING: Do not try and reinact a scene from a sexy love story if someone touches your hair with this in it they will not be impressed! It leaves the hair feeling tacky.. But as long as you dont have to feel it it works wonders! My boyfriend actually uses the L'oreal version for his huge quiff it gives him great lift in his hair! Everyone loves a metrosexual ey!

Bought at Christmas time this dry shampoo is brilliant! I shall never go back to the ways of batiste again! The white powder disappears quickly when massaged into the hair taking away any greasy residue! Just what a dry shampoo should do! It also smells... incredible! Made with grapefruit and lime oil it is heavenly! My only issue with this product is that fact once your sprinkle it.. it goes bloody everywhere! Maybe a better sprinkling device could be appreciated.. thank you LUSH!

Everyone needs a heat defence spray and I figured why not kill two birds with one stone and get a heat defence which volumises my hair! I haven't noticed a huge different when using this however it smells nice and claims to protect my hair! So i'll keep using it!!

These two beauties however have made a HUGE difference to my hair! I received them a while ago when I had my dip dyed hair to protect it and make the ends appear smoother and alive! However I stopped using these as I returned to a whole brunette colour! I did love this but since I have had my highlights done (LOVE THEM!) this stuff has been doing wonders for my mane, giving it a healthy, strong and shiny appearance! Although there is a hefty price tag I think these products are worth it! No pun intended!

My Top Five... Summer Nails!

Moving into summer I tend to steer away from duller nail varnishes and pastels- they can be left in the spring for all I care and start to use my bright punchy shades!
ASOS Paint CIATE- Lauren
This beautiful vibrant blue is an old one to my collection and I cannot find it online for the life of me so I use this as sparingly as possible however, I'm sure there will be good dupes on the high street! The perfect sea blue colour would suit any skin tone and would be perfect for the toes on holiday!

CIATE- Speed Dial
One of my favourite minis I received in my Christmas advent calender! This bright orange colour would compliment a tan perfectly! Easy to apply- vibrant in one swish of a brush! Perfect for those who dont like to spend long on their nails!

Rimmel- Hot Shot
A vibrant pink which is great for summer nights out! Im not usually a huge fan of the colour pink but i love the vibrancy of this pink! A real eye catcher!

All About Nails- Green
This is such an unusual colour which I had to grab and the price was even better! 99p! Tesco's own brand 'All About Nails' aren't the best when it comes to formulation (takes 2-3 coats to become vibrant!) However, they do have a lovely colour selection and this colour makes me feel so summery! It kind of reminds me of the colour flubber was! So a win/win situation!

Models Owen- Pukka Purple
The newest nail varnish to my collection... and my favourite! I haven't been able to take this stunning purple off my nails since I purchased it two weeks ago! Part of the Models Own NEON collection it has an incredible formula which glides on your nails (equally as good as the Ciate polishes!) and nearly half the price of them! To make this colour more vibrant (or any of the neon range which are all amazing!) stick a white base coat underneath and your good to go! To maintain the NEON(ness?!) it needs to be kept in the fridge!

Day 6, Monday: If you couldn't answer with your job, how would you answer the question, 'what do you do'?

I laze around on a daily basis, reading blogs, drinking fruit tea and watching youtube. I am a full time student but studying primary ed so it sometimes means i do ten weeks of placement... which is hell getting out of bed. I also work part time in Primark :) and I go out and get drunk alot.. pretty much it really.

Blogging In May...

May WILL be my month for rambling and trying to get on a straight and narrow path with EVERYTHING!
Uni work, Real work, Life, Fitness, Nutrition... It needs to have more order in it and I am in one place for the whole month which should be helpful :)

I decided a great way to do this was to follow this blog post.. helps with inspiration- http://storyofmylifetheblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/blog-every-day-in-may-challenge.html
So seeing as we are five days into May i'm going to make a huge blog post and do all of the first five :)

Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)

I was born in a small town called Bishop Auckland and was raised in a place called Spennymoor and have lived in the same house my whole life. My two older brothers (By 15 years) adored me when I was a baby as I was a girl magnet! I have two of the most loving and incredible parents who have given me everything I have ever wanted in life and are the cutest couple ever being married for 35 years! When I was little I used to line up my teddies and teach them my ambition must have spanned from this! I attended a great primary/secondary school and stayed on for sixth form in which I met some of the most incredible people. Makes me sad thinking back to sixth form and school what I'd give for it to happen all over again. Now I'm nearly finished my third year of university, thank god for four year courses!

Day 2, Thursday: Educate us on something you know alot about or are good at. Take any approach you'd like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic)

I LOVE TO SING!! :)
I have taken part in many a show and love performing (embarrassing as it may be!)
I took a main part in a pantomime and had to dress as a boy.. hard to disguise these bad boys but we managed! However I got laryngitis during this show and I have never been as good since! But i still love it and hopefully will get back to performing once I have finished Uni! :)

Day 3, Friday: Things that make you uncomfortable
 Being alone.
Seesaws.
Broken bones.
Getting horrible spots/coldsores.
Tight clothing.
Smelly people.

Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and focus on what could go right.

This emulates everything I believe in life at the moment.
Always afraid so I start to focus on the positives instead of the negatives in life.

Day 5, Sunday: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don't have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member

My best friend- My Mam! :)
What a great lady, she has been through so much and is still one of the strongest most inspiring people I know. I love her sooooo much! :D
